Empowering more people to access Higher Education
Go Higher West Yorkshire is a partnership of 13 Higher Education (HE) providers, working collaboratively to reduce long-standing inequalities in access to, success in and progression from higher education. By working with groups underrepresented in HE, teachers, advisers, carers and employers, we strive to overcome all barriers, misinformation and uncertainty concerning HE and to ensure people make confident and informed HE choices. We help educators and influencers help people into higher education, and by improving young people’s employability skills, help inspire a more high-skilled workforce.
How we work
Helping you to navigate your Higher Education options
By connecting our unique range of member Higher Education providers and external stakeholders, we aim to develop the most effective strategies, advice and resources to help improve access to, success in and progression from Higher Education for people from underrepresented groups.
We bring together members and stakeholders to ensure Higher Education is more accessible as a viable option to a wider and more inclusive group of potential students and learners in West Yorkshire, and to support these students with our expertise and experience in and through our institutions.
Helping people from underrepresented groups best understand their options and pathways into Higher Education, by using an evidence-based approach to empower students and learners, as well as their teachers, advisers and carers, to make informed choices about Higher Education
