Bradford College in running for two engagement awards
Bradford College is in the running for two awards that celebrate social action, and community and employer engagement.
The GHWY partner has been shortlisted for Pears #iwill Award for Social Action and Community Engagement. The award will celebrate an outstanding example of a college’s ability to engage in social action and engagement in their communities.
Assessors will measure applications against a criteria that includes impact of the provision on the local community in terms of social action led by students, and successful engagement with individuals in citizenship learning.
The College is also up for the City and Guild Award for College Engagement with Employers, which recognises outstanding practice in the delivery of provision that is responsive to the needs of employers.
The winner will have to demonstrate an exemplary ability to work with and provide a direct service to employers. They will be assessed against a criteria that includes responsiveness to a range of key economic and training priorities, and well managed investment in training and development of college staff.
