Bradford UK City of Culture to deliver keynote speech at collaborative teachers’ and advisers’ conference

Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHWY) is pleased to announce that Bradford UK City of Culture 2025 will participate in its collaborative teachers’ and advisers’ conference.
Rhiannon Hannon, Director of Creative Engagement and Participation, will be the event’s keynote speaker. She will cover the work of the City of Culture’s team, drawing on her wealth of experience for leading arts participation in West Yorkshire, including developing ambitious ideas to creatively engage young people.
This year’s free conference will be held on Tuesday, 8 July (9.30am-3.30pm) at the University of Bradford.
It will showcase the work of our diverse 13 Higher Education (HE) partners and opportunities in West Yorkshire.

Further guest speakers will be announced soon for our ‘Working Together for Access and Success in Higher Education: Teachers’ and Advisers’ Conference’.
Piloted in 2024, the event will offer a unique opportunity to gain insights into the support mechanisms available through our consortium of 13 members.
It will also highlight the range of HE pathways that are available, including Higher National Certificates and Diplomas, apprenticeships, and undergraduate degrees.
The conference is targeted at professionals who work with young people. This includes but is not limited to teachers, advisers, youth workers, pastoral staff, and local authority staff.
