Care Day resources
Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHWY) has produced a series of short videos as part of Care Day celebrations.
The global event, which celebrates the successes and achievements of children and young people with experience of care, will be held on Friday, 18 February. This year’s theme is: “It takes a village to raise a child.”
The videos highlight some of the resources that are available to support care experienced young people across our 13 member institutions. This includes our collaborative Care Leaver Covenant and our dedicated newsletter, which aims to connect those working with care experienced young people across the region to Higher Education.
We have also created a handy one-page resource that summarises some of the support that care leaver students can access, including application support and year-round accommodation.
We will be running a social media campaign on Twitter (@GoHigherWY) and Instagram (uniconnect_ghwy) throughout #CareDay22
