GHWY announces upcoming CPD programme

Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHWY) is pleased to announce its first four CPD events of 2025.
The free training, which is funded by the Uni Connect programme, offers a wide range of virtual opportunities for teachers, educators and advisers who support young people aged 11-18.
The programme’s initial events focus on Males on Free School Meals and care-experienced learners, which aim to increase knowledge and understanding of underrepresented groups (URGs) in Higher Education (HE), and UCAS personal statements and Student Finance, which will provide key updates and understanding of changes within the Further and Higher Education sector.

Building on last year’s success
This year’s training follows a successful programme of events in 2024. We had a record attendance of 38 at our Post-16 Qualifications Landscape CPD in December 2024, which was delivered in partnership with C&K Careers.
An attendee said: “I feel more informed about post-16 options, so am better placed to advise young people, including advising them on HE options when they may have different FE qualifications. Improving their knowledge – really useful resources provided by GHWY.”
The session, along with all our previous CPD, is now available as a webinar on our website.
