GHWY launches webpages dedicated to impact

In the context of increasing political emphasis on evaluating access and participation work and sharing evidence to enable sector-wide evidence-informed interventions, it is more important than ever for higher education partnerships to make their evidence available, accessible and easy to navigate. Since its inception in 2017, Uni Connect has had an important, mandated role in generating evidence of what works and why.

As one of the largest Uni Connect partnerships, Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHWY) is well placed as a leading voice in the sector, publishing evidence and influencing practice on a local and national scale.  While we have always self-published key evidence reports and run evidence briefing events for broad audiences, the new ‘Our Impact’ area of the GHWY website substantially improves the visibility and accessibility of our evidence. Visitors to the website can now view:

  • Progression to HE data insights for our Uni Connect cohorts
  • Impact case studies
  • Evaluation reports
  • Research reports
  • Summarised insights from across our evidence
  • The GHWY Outcomes Framework
  • Other supporting evaluation strategy documents

We are proud of the role GHWY plays in generating evidence using a variety of methodologies and often through a unique interpretative lens. This enables us to highlight the nuanced value of our access programmes, linked to the GHWY Outcomes Framework, through robust data insights and qualitative learner voice. Our contributions to the sector evidence base will be further enhanced by the new Higher Education Evaluation Library, being developed by TASO and HEAT ready for a Spring 2026 launch.

Our summarised insights are iterative and will continue to evolve as new evidence from our evaluation work emerges. At the present time, our headline insights are as follows:

  1. Ourcollaborative, experiential approachbroadens horizons while opening doors tounfamiliarspaces and unexploredidentities.
  1. Our sustained approach enables gradual, meaningful impact over time.
