GHWY training programme a finalist in Education North Awards
We are pleased to announce that Go Higher West Yorkshire’s (GHWY) Care to Go Higher CPD programme was selected as a finalist for the Education North Awards 2026.
The CPD-certified programme – which gives the key influencers of care-experienced young people the tools they need to support informed decision making in relation to Higher Education – was nominated for the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (EDI) Award.
The award sought to to recognise a project, individual and/or an organisation in the education sector that demonstrated exceptional commitment to fostering the promotion and implementation of effective and supportive EDI.
Helen Sykes, Head of GHWY, said: “We were extremely proud to have been shortlisted and dedicate our nomination to the resilience of the care-experienced young people we are working to secure better outcomes for, and to the wonderful people around them who support them.
“We would also like to thank all GHWY member institutions for demonstrating their strong civic missions, which enable us to continue offering this extremely worthwhile CPD programme.”
