GHWY welcomes new staff members
GHWY is pleased to welcome Amy Wilson as its interim Senior Project Manager.
Amy (left in photo) has worked in Higher Education and Widening Participation since graduating in 2008, most recently at the University of Leeds as an Outreach Lead Officer. She has just returned from maternity leave and worked closely with Alice Taylor, the former Senior Project Manager, over the last few weeks on the handover.
She has enjoyed learning about the various aspects of the project and over the next few weeks she will continue to meet new colleagues, prepare for meetings, and begin to look at some collaborative research with other Uni Connect projects.
She said: “Everyone I have met so far has been so considerate and thoughtful in explaining to me about their work, and I can already see the commitment from everyone to improving the prospects of young people. I look forward to meeting everyone else soon, and to be involved in continuing the excellent work of GHWY.”
We are also delighted that Natalie Aldridge (right in photo) has moved from being Collaborative Outreach Officer to interim Research and Evaluation Manager (project).
Natalie has worked at GHWY since mid 2017, starting out in the Research and Evaluation team before moving into the Collaborative Outreach role. In this post she led partnership working through the Access and Participation Strategy Group and built valuable networks across the sector, including with TASO. She also authored the Care to Go Higher report, which generated recommendations for policy and practice across sectors.
She graduated with an MA in Social Research from the University of Leeds in 2019.
Prior to joining GHWY she worked in the third sector, developing and evaluating externally funded projects for young people.
