The Estranged Student Pledge (formerly Stand Alone Pledge) is aimed at students studying without family support. It raises awareness of the support available for them across our 13 member institutions including whether they have named contacts, dedicated web-pages, and additional financial support.
It also features a definition of estranged, summarises some of the benefits of studying in HE, a glossary of HE terms, quotes from estranged students, and a list of top tips to help individuals on their HE journey.
