West Yorkshire Boys’ Impact Hub secures funding for pilot project

Yorkshire charity The Youth Association collaborated with James Rew (Luminate Education Group) and Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHWY) to secure project funding from Northern Consortium.

The funding will be used to set up a new project to train young men to be peer researchers, collect young men’s voices, and feed them back into education settings to affect positive change.

This project is a key activity in the work of the West Yorkshire Boys’ Impact Hub, which was launched earlier this year as one of four GHWY strategy groups to support underrepresented learners in higher education. It is part of the national Boys’ Impact initiative.

James, who works as Group Access and Participation Research and Evaluation Manager, supported the successful bid as Chair of GHWY’s West Yorkshire Boys’ Impact Hub.
