This online CPD session is aimed at progression, careers and guidance practitioners and will provide vital insights into what support learners can expect from Careers support once they transition to Higher Education. It will give you of an overview of what is on offer for students from first year to graduation and beyond, as well as share insights into specialised support for students from underrepresented groups.

The session will cover the following:

  • What’s on offer from Careers, Enterprise and Employability Services at GHWY HE providers (e.g. job fairs, one-to-one careers advice, workshops and events, practice interviews, support finding part-time work, internships, year-in-industry placements and graduate roles
  • How to support learners transition from FE into HE, and build expectations about how and when students can access the careers service
  • Examples of how HE supports students from underrepresented groups i.e. what support is available for low-income students, disabled students, etc.
