OfS highlights GHWY’s Care to Go Higher programme

GHWY’s innovative Care to Go Higher programme is featured in the Office for Students topic briefing about care leavers.

The briefing contains the best available evidence that the independent regulator of higher education (HE) is aware of to support students to succeed. It includes examples of how providers have supported outcomes for care leavers and looked-after children that other organisations may find helpful when developing their own approaches.

The resource highlights Care to Go Higher, which GHWY developed in partnership with Leeds City Council. The pilot training programme is designed for key influencers of care experienced young people, to equip and allow them to support care experienced young people to make informed choices about HE.

The briefing also references GHWY’s series of care leaver stories, where people can hear directly from them about their experiences.
