The support that staff can offer disabled students includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Allow students to attend a different seminar time to the one that they have been allocated
- Providing resources in another format or making slight changes e.g. use off-white instead of white paper
- Giving extensions to students who need it for anything that does not require official approval
- Be clear about what support looks like e.g. what are office hours, proofreading support
- Proactively signpost to support services (e.g. mental health) available at your HE provider
- Record sessions (if your HE provider does not do this) and make slides available beforehand
