Students might not want to self-declare a disability on their UCAS application due to concerns it will affect the outcome. 

They may be worried about the perceived stigma of having a disability, or they may not realise that their disability is covered by the Equality Act. 

All of these factors mean the students may not ask for support or reasonable adjustments (we will discuss these in a later section).
